Volunteers meet and work closely with artists and folk art enthusiasts from every corner of the globe. Our volunteers can choose from a broad range of possible jobs, including decorating, assisting individual artists, greeting visitors, helping with sales, and many others. Register early to get on the sign-up list for the 2010 Market. Choose the position which best suits your interests and abilities. You will have an unforgettable experience!
Volunteers are a vital part of the Market – with more than 1,000 volunteers working over 12,000 collective hours. Please read each job description and assess which job matches your skills and interests best. You are welcome to volunteer for multiple jobs if you would like, provided that the timing is feasible.
Volunteer Opportunities
There are a variety of job opportunities available. Please indicate your first and second job preferences in the Volunteer Registration section. Every attempt will be made to honor your choices. The volunteer sign-up process will begin in March. You will be contacted by the committee chair responsible for overseeing the job(s) you have selected. If we cannot honor your first or second choice, we will contact you and let you know where else you might be needed.
Once you register, you will receive details about your volunteer assignment(s) and training between May through June. If you have any further questions or if you have not heard from a committee chair by June 1, please call the Volunteer Message Line at 505-476-1195 and leave a brief message. Your call will be returned as promptly as possible.
