Lead Free Ceramic Pottery

Barro Sin Plomo is a non-profit organization with a central focus on eliminating lead in ceramic production and is dedicated to supporting artisans in creating sustainable products while preserving the spirit of the traditional forms.  Fernando Arroyo comes from the community of Capula, one of the most important pottery producing communities in Michoacan. Pottery from this region is most often created using the pointillist “punteado” technique combined with designs of flora and fauna.
