Jewelry
For Esteban, the process of making jewelry begins by foraging. He searches for cocoyol seeds, horn of bull and briar of henequen in order to make earrings, bracelets and necklaces that he strings with silver. Cocoyol is a native, palm-like fruit in the Yucatan and was an important part of Maya culture.
Esteban was a creative and curious child, inspired by nature. He taught himself how to select the right seeds, perforate them and create jewelry.
