ACP is Nepal’s premier non-profit craft association. It was established in 1984 with the aim of providing design, market, management and technical skills to low income craft producers, primarily women to generate their family income and raise their overall standard of living.
Bir Bahadur is of the traditional blacksmith caste know as Bishwokarma. He bagan copperwork at age 9 and worked over the course of 25 years to become a trainer at the Balaju Mechanical Center. In 1986 he joined ACP to create and diversify the traditional metalwork. Currently he provides work and training for 25 people helping to improve the ecomnomic condition of his community.
