Welcome O Magazine Readers!
The Santa Fe International Folk Art Market: Who We Are
The Santa Fe International Folk Art Market is a results-oriented entrepreneurial 501(c)3 organization that provides a venue for master traditional artists to display, demonstrate and sell their work. By providing opportunities for folk artists to succeed in the global marketplace, the Market creates economic empowerment and improves the quality of life in communities where folk artists live.
It is now the largest international folk art market in the world, and its success led to Santa Fe’s designation as a UNESCO City of Folk Art, the first U.S. city named to UNESCO’s prestigious Creative Cities Network.
As Seen in O, The Oprah Magazine
We are so proud that seven Market artists were featured in the July 2010 issue of O, The Oprah Magazine (read the article). The feature focuses on women who make beautiful things. If you are interested in learning more about, or purchasing from, these talented women folk artists and their organizations, please click on the photos below.
Important Note
The beauty of folk art is that it is made by hand. Participation in the Market is competitive and offers the opportunity to only a select few who are continuing to create high quality traditional arts. As the products are not mass-produced in factories, there will be only a limited supply of these items. Some may be the same and others just similar, to the one you have seen in the magazine. Please read the FAQ’s on each of the linked pages below to learn more.
Response time for inquiries and shipping will vary and may take longer than you are accustomed to from US-based retailers. Be patient. It’s worth the wait for a beautiful piece of folk art, made by hand, that may travel thousands of miles into your hands.
Can’t wait? You’re invited to come to the Market on July 9-11, 2010 where you can purchase from these talented artists and meet them in person at an event that changes lives. You can learn more about coming to the Market here.
