Join in the fifth annual Santa Fe International Folk Art Market, taking place July 12 – 13, 2008. It’s an unparalleled gathering of the world’s finest folk artists, in which market goers will have a rare opportunity to purchase folk art from over 100 juried artists from 39 countries (from Rwanda to El Salvador to Turkmenistan).The Market is the largest of its kind in the world. In addition to booths filled with vivid cultural treasures (silver jewelry from Bolivia, felt rugs from Kyrgyzstan, tribal garments from China, ceramics from France), visitors can enjoy exotic food and live entertainment, everything from mariachi bands to Chinese Dragon Dancers.

The mission of the Santa Fe International Folk Art Market is to foster economic and cultural sustainability for folk artists and folk art worldwide and to create intercultural exchange opportunities uniting peoples of the world.
