What We Do
The Santa Fe International Folk Art Market is the largest international folk art market in the world, and our success led to Santa Fe’s designation as a UNESCO City of Folk Art.
The Market hosts an annual festive, two-day event on Museum Hill in Santa Fe, New Mexico adjoining our renowned partner, the Museum of International Folk Art.
Featured Artist
Beatrice Agbesinyale
GhanaBeatrice Agbesinyane learned textile artistry from her father, a tailor who produced quilts for a chief in their hometown.
She later joined up with Wondala International to create African patchwork quilts, using hand-mixed dies in traditional Ghanaian textile treatments such as batik, tie-dye, stitch dyeing, brush and splash dyeing. These quilts, whose kaleidoscopic patterns are intended to confuse and discourage spirits with ill intentions, were traditionally used to protect the royal family.

Sponsor an Artist
Sponsor an artist at the 2009 Market and give the gift of self-sufficiency. Your gift will help folk artists help themselves and keep giving long beyond the Market weekend.
Last year, the Market was able to provide over $80,000 in financial assistance for 26 artists. These artists would not be able to participate in the Market without the generosity of donors like you.
