ACP is Nepal’s premier non-profit craft association. It was established in 1984 with the aim of providing design, market, management and technical skills to low income craft producers, primarily women to generate their family income and raise their overall standard of living.

With a Masters in Sociology in hand, Sudha Maharjan made a decision to be a traditional weaver like her mother and grandmothers. Working with her mother and through ACP, Sudha and a group of women in Kitipur have honed their weaving, embroidery and block printing skills to combine their techniques to create a line of unique textiles for home furnishings.
