Abdon Punzo Ángel is a nationally, award-winning master craftsman from the copper and silver region of Santa Clara del Cobre, in the State of Michoacán, western Mexico. Abdon and his two sons create their exquisitely-hammered copper pots, bowls, vessels and pitchers in elegant, abstract floral and animal shapes that draw and expand upon pre-Hispanic tradition. Abdon has been perfecting his craft since he was five years old and, to date, has won more than 20 national awards as well as the coveted Presidents National Award for silversmithing.
