Folk Artists from around the world undergo a rigorous juried application and selection process before they can attend the Market – this is not a trade show where exhibitors just pay for a booth.

The Market Artists Selection Committee—composed of folk art curators, collectors and experts—make their evaluation and selection using a matrix based on standards of authenticity, quality and marketability.

The Selection Committee also visits each booth at the Market to verify that the quality of work brought to the Market is consistent with that submitted in the application.
